Mission Statement
The mission of Second Mount Vernon Baptist Church is to progressively seek to demonstrate God’s love through worship and service, to continue to be good stewards: giving of our time, talents and tithes, and to prayerfully allow the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to lead us as we reach out to those in need in both our local and global communities.

Vision Statement – Who We Are
We are a Kingdom Movement, a “Force” in the kingdom of God whose sole purpose is to win lost souls for the Kingdom. How do we accomplish this task? We seek to accomplish this through our “7 Point Vision”:

Where We Are Going
Understanding the Kingdom mandate that God has placed upon our church, we firmly believe that God is leading us in a direction where we will soon be recognized as being a “church without walls.” Where “Evangelism” and “Outreach” will best define who we are and what we do as a church. God is moving us in a direction where our local community as well as global, will be won and impacted for God because of our witness.
